Leif Soderberg is an Operating Partner of Snow Phipps and currently serves as non-executive Chairman of Acentia.

Until early 2005, Soderberg was a Senior Vice President of Motorola Inc., where he was the Chief Strategy Officer and headed their Corporate Development Office. Prior to that, he served in a similar capacity in Motorola’s handset business. During his 12 years at Motorola, Soderberg held a series of general management roles: he ran the defense communications business (ultimately sold to General Dynamics Corporation); he ran the two-way radio subscriber business for the Americas and helped build the consumer two-way radio business; and he held a variety of roles developing acquisitions, alliances and partnerships and coordinating sector activities for spectrum, standards and regulatory affairs. Previously, Soderberg was a Partner with McKinsey, where he worked on a range of marketing, strategy and operational assignments with clients in the automotive, industrial and electronic industries.

 

Soderberg received an M.S. in Management from the Sloan School at MIT and an A.B. with honors in Economics from Harvard College. Previously he served as Director of two public companies: Freescale Semiconductor, Inc. and Clearnet Communications, Inc.
