New Technology Consulting Company Finds Success in the Wake of Slumping Economy and Increasing Layoffs

Washington, DC & Rockville , MD – August 13, 2002, The recent changes in the economy and job market helped transform the future dream into a reality for two local Montgomery Country residents: Mike Dietz and Stefan Lalos, the founding partners of ITSolutions, LLC .

Their significant experience in government contracting helped Mike and Stefan realize the many prospects before them. Federal Government contracts were quickly becoming available to small business firms, while a pool of seasoned executives were being laid off due to the changes in the commercial market. Mike and Stefan worked quickly to recruit these talented individuals, and officially opened shop in October 2001. By February 2002, the ink was dry on the company’s first multi-million dollar contract. The firm has been successful in identifying new opportunities as the Federal Government continues to fuel the economy through small business contracting.

Mike’s professional experience includes executive leadership roles at Marriott International, Inc., Booz Allen Hamilton, Inc., and Computer Data Services, Inc. Mike has also worked with International Business Machines ( IBM ) and Westat. Mike was raised in the Potomac area, and earned his Masters Degree in Business from Johns Hopkins University , and a Bachelor of Science from University of Maryland .

Prior to the development of ITSolutions, LLC, Stefan was Vice President of Technology Investment Banking for BB&T Capital Markets; Vice President for Wachovia Securities; Associate for Brooks, Houghton & Company, Inc.; Project Leader-Business Process Re-engineering for Keane, Inc.; Senior Consultant of Strategic Technology Studies/Business Process Re-engineering for Booz Allen Hamilton; and Senior Consultant-Technology for Andersen Consulting. Stefan earned his Masters Degree in Business, Finance & Entrepreneurship from Cornell University and his Bachelor of Industrial Engineering from Clemson University .
