6:00 am - I wake up and make my egg sandwich to eat on the way to work. This is my time to prepare myself to start my day. The radio is on, changing back and forth between 96.3 listening to Steve Harvey, 99.5 for the Kane Show, and 103.5 WTOP.

12:00 pm - My dad is in the Military, Retired-Air Force, and I am in the Army Reserves. His military career taught him discipline, the importance of honesty and integrity and instilled in him the notion of hard work. I was raised seeing my father put his all into whatever he did— if he was going to take the time to do it, he was going to be successful at what he was doing. I believe watching him and wanting to be like him has brought me to where I am now in my career and where I am headed in the future. The traits of leadership, honesty, integrity and respect are what I learned from him and from my military service, and these are what I bring to work with me every day and how I live my life.

3:00 pm - Since joining Acentia I have been nothing but impressed. I value a company who values its employees; the employees are what ultimately make or break a company in my opinion. When I went to the first happy hour for the teams in my office, the CEO of the company was in jeans shaking hands, meeting and talking with the employees. He seemed genuinely interested in the people he had working for the company and was not too important show up or be involved in the event. I find this to be the case at each social I attended.

5:00 pm - The company doesn't just say they value their employees; they actually show it through their awards and recognition program. It is also not rare to see leadership stopping by the office to check on employees to see how everything is going and if anything is needed. I personally love to learn new things and improve on what I already know, and the company leadership has been more than willing to help me when needed and to mentor me. This company has shown that they have the same values and morals as I do. I believe I have truly found my home.
