ITSolutions Awarded AHRQ Contract

Silver Spring, Maryland, November 16, 2009 - ITSolutions announced today that it was awarded a new contract with the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) to provide: Application Development Program Management Support and Business Process Improvement; Application and System Development; Application Support, Operations, and Maintenance; Distributed Software Engineering Laboratory Support; Enterprise Architecture Support; and Transition Management.
ITSolutions will provide support in the following areas: project management; Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI); process improvement; business analysis; systems analysis; system design; software development; application operations and maintenance; and testing and deployment of complex technologies into the existing IT environment.
ITSolutions will plan and implement new requirements utilizing standardized industry processes, frameworks and models including the IBM Rational Framework and Earned Value reporting. By using a strict program management approach, ITSolutions will deliver the following application development strategic imperatives:
- Adhere to AHRQ's System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and utilize strict controls and CMMI based processes and templates for managing, documenting and delivering IT application development services
- Maximize the return on investment from application development services
- Effectively set and meet/exceed business community application development expectations
- Improve the level of partnership with the business community involved in application development
- Minimize defects in the application development process while delivering in a timely and cost-effective manner
