ITSolutions Awarded TEAMS/TRICARE Contract

After two long years of suspense, winners for the TEAMS TRICARE GWAC bid have at last been chosen. ITSolutions was among numerous companies contending for this award, of which 23 will now be allowed to bid on opportunities competed under this vehicle. This full and open competition was directed by the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense (Health Affairs)/TRICARE Management Activity (TMA) to support their goal of delivering high-quality, cost-effective health care services to the nation’s fighting forces. This 10-year contract, consisting of one base year and nine one-year options, has a potential value of up to $5 billion. The TMA Procurement Support Office is responsible for all acquisitions for other than purchased care in support of the TRICARE Management Activity. ITSolutions’ successful bid was in the Category 2: Program Management Support service area which includes assisting TMA in planning and managing its activities and programs. This includes requirements analysis, acquisition support, budget planning and management, business process reengineering, program planning and execution support, and independent technical management support.
